If you are looking for
a place to hide away from the sounds of
cars and people, and enjoy waking up to
the sounds of nature and wildlife, we
recommend our small B&B.
We offer three beautifully decorated rooms
with great views of Dolphin Bay. For those
that just want to relax we have a large
veranda and "El rancho" over
the water with lots of hammocks and chairs
where guests can over look the bay, read
a book or enjoy watching a multitude of
birds that visit the surrounding trees.
Dolphin Bay Hideaway
is located on the shores of Dolphin Bay,
in the small village of Bocatorito on
the Island of San Cristobal. We are 20
min. boat ride from the town of Bocas
Del Toro, Panama and about two hours from
Sixaola, Costa Rica.
All our rooms have a
fan to keep you cool at night and modern
private bathroom with hot water. We have
free internet access for those guests
who need to check their e-mail or make
any future reservations. Our rooms do
not have air conditioning, televisions
or telephones. We recommend Dolphin Bay
Hideaway mainly for adults with a genuine
interest and respect for Panama's amazing
natural and cultural diversity. Families
are welcome but some limitations may apply.
We are located where
the little red dot is on the map.
Rates are per room up to double occupancy
and they include a diverse and very filling
breakfast, transportation to and from
Bocas on your arrival and departure, use
of our wooden dugout kayaks and all the
coconuts you can drink during your stay.
Please be advised that due to our very
small size and remote location all our
transactions for now are cash only. Our
rates do not include the 10% government
required tax.
Dining
We offer lunch and candle
lit dinners on our veranda. We prepare
an eclectic mix of panamanian, italian,
american and hungarian cuisine customized
to each of our guests needs and preferences.
There is also a restaurant near by that
offers fresh sea food, fish, chicken and
vegetarian meals prepared and served in
a very delicious panamanian style. All
day trips we offer will also give you
the opportunity to eat on other Islands
including Craw key, Bastimentos (Old Bank)
and Bocas town.
We offer trips to all
neighboring islands to spend the day on
white sandy beaches, swimming, snorkeling
or just relaxing in a hammock with your
favorite book. All our activities are
personalized and very exclusive, taking
you off the beaten path with a maximum
of four to six guests participating. Private
tours are also available.
Amazing snorkel spots
are only 5 minute boat ride away where
you¨ll be dazzled by the beautiful
variety of coral, colorful sponges and
sea creatures.
Dolphin watching all
year around. From our location you have
the privilege to go out at any time of
the day or night to see the dolphins play.
Take one of our wooden kayaks or if you
wish we can drive you out in our boat.
On most days you don´t even have
to get out of the hammock to see them,
since they like to swim around in front
of the dock.
Coconut and tropical fruit farms are close
by and available to visit and sample a
variety of delicious exotic fruits. We
offer trips to Green Acres, where you
will get to walk through lush vegetation,
beautiful tropical garden and learn all
about the secrets of chocolate making
and the importance of our rainforest.
Hiking or boat trips
to indigenous Indian villages to get an
insight on their lifestyle and handicraft
Take an afternoon hike
to watch a variety of birds, monkeys and
other animals.
Try out the local means
of transportation by hopping into one
of our wooden dugout kayaks and maybe
even try your luck at fishing.
